# TouchPass

TouchPass is a macOS menu bar utility for Apple silicon Macs running macOS 13 or later with enrolled Touch ID. Users first add a password, which is stored locally in the macOS data-protection Keychain.

In a supported focused field, the default customizable ⌥Space shortcut starts fresh Touch ID approval, then shows saved labels. After the user chooses an entry, TouchPass types the password without using the clipboard.

Accessibility permission is required. Some secure fields, browsers, terminals, remote desktops, and custom controls are unsupported, and TouchPass does not work at the Mac login screen.

One saved password is free. A one-time USD $5 license enables unlimited saved passwords on two Macs. Passwords do not sync or back up.
